Owens Oak Baskets - Handwoven & Handsplit
"Owens Oak Baskets" is  located in the Ozark Hills of Southwest Missouri near Branson, MO. It is family owned and operated solely by the Owens family. Dale Owens, Master Basket Maker, is the founder of "Owens Oak Baskets". He made baskets many years ago for "Mutton Hallow""Silver Dollar City", and "Shepard of the Hills" in Branson, Missouri.  Dale's son Billy Owens is the second generation of White Oak Basket makers. He was taught by his father the "Owens' traditional way of making baskets. Billy, just as his father did, personally harvests, cuts, and splits, all by hand, the White Oak that goes into each and every "Owens" Oak basket. All of the weaving then is done by the rest of the "Owens" family. Being a large and blessed one consisting of course of Dale & Shirley, their son Billy and their daughter-in-law Theresa. Billy & Theresa's children, Stacie, Jamie, Bo, Frankie, Dena, and their son Kase, their Sons-in-Law, and thelve grandchildren, all want to say thank you to all of their patrons for making it possible for them to be able to share their family tradition of white oak basket making, through traveling and teaching classes, our shop, and this website. Proudly we bring to you the highest in quality and beauty through our White Oak Baskets & products by "Owens Oak Baskets".
